Bridget Vreeland
Bridget "Bee" Vreeland is the bold, energetic, athletic soccer star,
who is described as "single minded to the point of recklessness." She
is the daughter of a southern belle and former European history professor.
When Bridget was about twelve, her mother committed suicide, and she is still
grieving from her death. Bridget has a twin brother named Perry.

When Bee
sees something she wants, she gets it. She is, however, still grieving
from her mother's death three or so years earlier. She seeks out Eric, a counselor
at her summer camp in Baja California. It is forbidden that the two intermingle
socially, but it does not stop her from seeking him out relentlessly until
she gets what she only thought she wanted.

One year later, Bee has gained a few pounds. She goes to visit
her Grandma, but don't tell her who he is. She meets Billy, an old childhool
friend, but he don't recognize her either. Eventually she sheds the pounds
and things go right, she gets more intimate with her grandma, and in an other
way with Billy.

In the third book, Bridget goes to soccer camp in Pennsylvania
and is shocked to discover that one of her fellow coaches is none other than
Eric Richman. She finds her feelings for him reawakening, but is stunned by
the discovery that he has a girlfriend, Kaya. Bridget plans to begin avoiding
Eric, but her plan is shot down when she and Eric are made partners, causing
them to see each other constantly. Not wanting to upset Eric, Bridget selflessly
puts her feelings aside and restrains herself to being Eric’s friend
while respecting the relationship between Eric and Kaya. The two develop a
friendship despite Bridget’s
uncertainties. Later, Bridget comes down with a fever, and Eric takes care of
her. They fall asleep together, and Bridget wakes up to find Eric holding her.
Feeling guilty,
she tries to break the hold quietly, but her attempts wake up Eric. Bridget
feels confused and betrayed when he leaves the camp for an unknown reason,
and decides that she won’t hope for his attention anymore. She trains
her soccer team hard, and they go on to defeat Eric’s in the championship.
Bridget later questions Eric about his leaving, and Eric reveals that he returned
to
New York to break up with his girlfriend due to his feelings for Bridget.
Eric and Bridget then become a couple.

In the fourth book, Bridget feels slightly at odds with the
idea of being "taken," and because of her somewhat brash and spontaneous
decision-making attitude, she decides to take a trip to Turkey to help with
an archaeological dig along with several classmates from Brown because Eric,
her boyfriend, has made the decision to visit his family in Mexico and Bridget
has no intention of sitting around and waiting for him to come back. In Turkey
she meets a handsome professor who she is wildly attracted to, and him to her.
However, he is unattainable as he is married with children. Despite his marital
status, the two kiss but a surprise visit of the professor's family to celebrate
